Description
Live the experience of cycling through the 80s Elqui Valley, the “Old Road” Route, offers a tour of the Alcohuaz of yesteryear, simple, rustic and unpaved.
This route is a circuit that starts and ends at our Tourism Agency and most of the route is traveled on old dirt roads.
It begins with gentle pedaling on the flat, then begins a descent bordering the entertaining and adventurous hill, until you come across a small, more difficult section where it is necessary to walk with the bike at your side for a short stretch (20 meters approx.), to continue with the descent route.
Finally, you reach the main paved road again and from there you can decide whether to ascend by 2 steep climbs that will take you back to the starting point or simply call us and we will pick you up in a van.
Duration: 1 to 2 hours.
Schedule: 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Departure: Elqui Adventures Tourism Agency.
Difficulty: Medium (Experience on steep and curved descents is required).
Includes: Return transportation to Alcohuaz. Optional: Bicycle guide.
Bring: Sunscreen, hat, appropriate clothing and personal hydration.
